As we start planning for the next reunion, here are some interesting things we have found in the Jacksonville area. If you have any other ideas to add please forward them to the webmaster.

Places to eat

Clark's Fish Camp A person could find no better fish and amphibian combo than the Swamp Fest Platter at Clark's Fish Camp on Mandarin's Julington Creek. It comes piled high with gator tail, soft shell crab, frog's legs, conch, catfish and squid. $18 for one, $30 for a two-person platter.
The Moon Grille and Oyster Bar
Pull up a stool to The Moon's raw bar and dig in. A part of the Jacksonville Beach establishment's "cheaper than Viagra menu," a Full Moon order (48 oysters) is a literal mountain of shellfish. "Honey, I'll be home in a little while." $10 for a Half Moon (24 oysters), $18 for the Full Moon.
Havana-Jax Cafe
Cuban specialties such as fried yuca, picadillo and black bean soup take center stage at Havana-Jax on Atlantic Boulevard in St. Nicholas. Our favorite "aperitivo" is the tostones con chicharrones-fried pork and sweet green plantain slices. $6.
Dat'l Do-It Hot Sauces
It's no secret that Florida can get hot. The heat index rises with a dash or two of St. Augustine 's Dat'l Do-It brand sauces. These sizzling condiments are made with the Oldest City 's indiginous datil peppers, a tiny vegetable that provides a fiery kick. $4.
